Historically, Insight Impact has put together at least one philanthropic event per quarter. These include Suit Up mentorship events, visits to Blythedale Children’s Hospital, and Thanksgiving food drives at NYC’s City Harvest.

As 2020 got underway, Impact’s mission became even more vital. As COVID-19 and a social justice movement gripped the country, Impact collected and vetted tens of social justice organizations, curating high-impact causes into an easily accessible database. Employees could use this database to discover notable charities, or add in their own. Insight’s General Partners generously matched donations 2:1, resulting in a tremendous outpouring of financial support that continues to grow.

But dollars alone were not enough. Insight employees took action and delivered pizzas to healthcare workers, sewed masks for NYC hospitals, and repurposed lunch money towards supporting local restaurants. Impact launched a guided book club focused on issues of racial injustice, and encouraged employees to engage in difficult conversations around systemic inequality. We even re-examined our own recruiting practices and launched an ambitious new initiative to increase access to historically under-represented groups in our industry. Our Impact team has grown rapidly as well; an indication of the breadth of work that still remains.
